CDOT R3 US 6 CO 9 Corridor Operations Study

Stolfus completed is preparing a corridor operations study for CDOT Region 3 at the I-70 US 6/CO 9 (Exit 205) interchange spanning from from Lake Dillon Drive/Evergreen Road (US 6F MP 209.844) to Hamilton Creek Rd (CO 9D MP 103.979), with and supplemental analysis areas along the corridor including the I-70 Exit 205 interchange and the Stephen’s Way and Wildernest Road loop. The study identified purpose of this project is to identify safety and operational efficiency improvements for US 6 and CO 9 using a data-driven approach that considered existing and planned land uses and infrastructure. to corridor operations and safety within the context of existing and proposed land uses and infrastructure. Given the developed nature build-out throughout of the corridorcorridor, the study focuses on operational, safety, and multimodal strategies rather than adding through travel lanes. , additional thru travel lanes are not a priority. Stolfus is partnered closely ing with CDOT representatives and local stakeholders to define key success factors, and establish performance criteria, and evaluate improvement options. for measuring success. The project team applied ais implementing a Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) “light” process and included with a public involvement process to present recommendations and incorporate community and obtain feedback.
