Colorado Strategic Highway Safety Plan 2025

Stolfus is updating the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) for the State of Colorado. The SHSP provides a comprehensive framework for key safety needs and investment decisions aimed at reducing fatalities and serious injuries on public roads for the next five years. Colorado’s SHSP helps deliver Colorado’s Vision of the future of “zero deaths and serious injuries so all people using and transportation mode arrive at their destination safely”. The SHSP is a data-driven and interdisciplinary approach to improving safety. Stolfus, along with partner VHB, is conducting a robust stakeholder engagement and communications plan. The team is preparing the 2025 SHSP supported with crash data analysis, interactive maps, and setting performance targets. The project also includes a one-year Action Plan planned to be updated quarterly.
