Elizabeth Stolfus, PE, FACEC
President & CEO
Elizabeth has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing community-based transportation solutions. Founding the firm in 2003, she leads her team to create long lasting results to serve Colorado communities. Also, a dedicated member of ACEC Colorado, she served as president in 2016. As a Vice Chair for ACEC National and a board member of the ACEC Life-Health Trust, she understands the key role that transportation engineers play in improving our communities. Elizabeth is passionate about spending time with her family, cheering on her sons in all their sports endeavors.
Steve Mystkowski, PE
VP Business Administration
Since joining Stolfus in 2011, Steve has focused his efforts on supporting all aspects of business operations and is accountable for the integration of all business functions. Steve utilizes his leadership and people skills to help guide the team to achieve their best work and to keep the business in top shape. Steve truly appreciates working where values and purpose are at the forefront of everything we do. He believes meaningful work is important to overall health and well-being. In his free time Steve enjoys watching his sons play sports and as a true Colorado native, loves the outdoors.
Michelle Hansen, PE
VP Consulting Services
Michelle joined Stolfus in 2004 as its first employee! She has 25 years of transportation engineering and roadway design experience on projects in Colorado. Michelle leads the overall consulting practice at Stolfus and is considered Colorado’s leading consultant expert on access management and access control plans. Also, a dedicated member of ACEC Colorado, Michelle served as the board Metro Director for 2 years. Michelle enjoys watching her kids play baseball and gymnastics. She also loves a good binge on Netflix when she is not hiking or camping.

Matt Brown, PE, PTOE, RSP
Traffic Safety, Systems & Operations Director
Joining Stolfus in 2007, Matt has been a transportation engineering consultant for over 30 years, dedicating his career to enhancing safety, mobility, and traffic operations for the traveling public. Matt excels at explaining technical findings in ways that are accessible to all audiences. In his downtime Matt is a grilling enthusiast who loves to cook and smoke various types of food. He also loves watching sports, including his kids’ events.
Jenna Siegel, PE, PMP
Senior Project Manager
Starting at Stolfus in 2015, Jenna keeps simple and complex projects running smoothly and efficiently. She has expertise in leading the design of roundabouts, roadways, interchanges, trails and more. Skillful at managing projects and teams, Jenna is dedicated to addressing transportation related issues. Jenna is a devoted mother who loves to spend time with her family and likes to spend her free time embroidering and doing home DIY projects.
Andrew Amend, PE, PTOE
Senior Project Manager
Andrew has been a traffic and transportation engineering consultant for 18 years, specializing in traffic operations, safety studies, traffic signal and ITS projects, and multi-modal corridor design. Joining Stolfus in 2011, he excels in various areas, including alternative studies, PELs, signal re-timings, and intersection control evaluations. A skilled project manager, Andrew effectively directs transportation projects. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and dog.

Sheryl Beckman
Communications and Engagement Director
Sheryl is an accomplished communicator with more than twenty years of experience in the Denver market in the management of various public involvement programs, public speaking, emergency management, and crisis communications. Sheryl possesses extensive relationships within Colorado’s governments and transportation agencies and prides herself in helping projects balance the needs and expectations of the clients, policymakers, the public, and other stakeholders. Sheryl is from Pagosa Springs and is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to ski during the winter and camp, hike, and play pickleball in the summer.
Tony Bertolini, EI
Senior Transportation Design Engineer
Tony joined Stolfus in 2022 and in addition to his four years of experience since obtaining his engineering degree, Tony brings two years of full-time student intern experience in engineering, plus eleven years in the Airforce Civil Engineer squadron. He is well-versed in safety analysis, traffic analysis and modeling, traffic design, and conceptual roadway design. Tony is committed to helping solve infrastructure related problems in local communities. Outside of the office, Tony is an outdoor enthusiast and spends his free time snowboarding, mountain biking, riding his motorcycle, and hiking.
Mikayla Britsch, EI
Engineering Intern
Mikayla is a 2024 graduate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with skills in ArcGIS, Python, and AutoCAD. During her time in university Mikayla was an Undergraduate Researcher using her abilities to help problem solve and develop solutions for civil engineering projects. Mikayla is fluent in Spanish and studied at the Universidad de Chile as a visiting researcher.
Paul Chung
Staff Accountant
Joining Stolfus in 2022 after four years as a Staff Accountant in manufacturing, Paul is originally from Torrance, California where he received his B.S. in Accounting from Biola University. Paul excels in financial analysis, budgeting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Paul brings his attention to detail in every task he completes along with his positive attitude. Outside of the office, Paul enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. He is a snowboarder, traveler, camper, and soccer enthusiast. Paul is often accompanied by his dog Nala on many of his adventures.
Amelia DelGuercio, PE
Transportation Engineer
Hailing from Golden, Amelia is devoted to making her local communities safer and more accessible for all. Joining Stolfus in 2023 after four years in a similar role in Florida, Amelia is experienced in the design of urban arterials, traffic calming measures, pedestrian facilities, and intersections. She is an expert in geometric modeling utilizing ORD for urban corridors, roundabouts, and shared-use paths. Amelia is a dedicated animal lover and vegan who spends her free time volunteering at animal shelters and rescue ranches. She is also a big sports fan, following hockey, basketball, and F1 racing.
Niki Hines
Marketing and Graphics Specialist
Niki joined Stolfus in 2023 and is a dedicated Marketing and Graphics Specialist with a deep-rooted passion for serving Colorado communities. With a degree in Graphic Design from Colorado State University, she leverages her creative expertise to provide visually compelling and impactful designs. Growing up in Colorado, Niki has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys camping and hiking throughout the state. Niki also spends her free time painting and drawing.
Cyndi Hoffman
Administrative Assistant
With a keen eye for detail and a passion to help others, Cyndi is dedicated to supporting all office needs and ensuring smooth operations since 2017. Cyndi’s ability to provide comprehensive administrative support reflects her commitment to help the team and Colorado communities as a whole. Cyndi received her Master’s in Public Health through Argosy University.
Cyndi is an avid fan of the Denver Nuggets and enjoys cheering on her favorite team. She also has a passion for home improvement projects.
Lynnae Johnson, EI
Transportation Design Engineer
Lynnae joined Stolfus in 2021 and is a Colorado native with a degree in Civil Engineering from CU Boulder, Lynnae is detail-oriented and leverages that skill to lead design development including confirmation of existing physical conditions, coordination with existing planning documents, determination/confirmation of appropriate treatments, layout of infrastructure, signing and striping elements, preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, and coordination/response on review comments. Outside of the office Lynnae is an avid runner who enjoys spending her time in the Colorado sunshine.
Bryan Kelley, EI
Transportation Design Engineer
Bryan joined Stolfus in 2024 and holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wyoming. He brings a diverse background in transportation engineering, with experience in roadway and airport design. Bryan is an avid snowboarder, enjoys playing basketball, and spends time gaming with his friends. He also loves unwinding with his wife and their dog, appreciating the balance of work, play, and family life.
Tommy Marcinkiewicz, EI
Engineering Intern
Joining Stolfus in 2024 after graduating from the University of Arkansas, Tommy possesses a high drive to succeed and create solutions to traffic and safety related transportation issues. He gained experience interning with TXDOT and is proficient in the use of ORD for roadway design and utility conflict analysis. He is now gaining experience in designing roundabouts, multimodal infrastructure, and plan production. Tommy loves a good adventure and spent two years as an outdoor supervisor with UREC Outdoors. He enjoys hiking, climbing, camping, and backpacking.
Angus Nilgitsalanont, EI
Engineering Intern
Angus is originally from New York and came to Colorado to work at Stolfus in 2023 after obtaining his civil engineering degree at the University of Vermont where he was also active in undergraduate transportation research. He is skilled with spatial data analysis with ArcGIS and geometric modeling with ORD. Angus has experience in roadway improvement projects and especially enjoys projects that include multimodal improvements. He is also SWMP certified. Angus loves all that Colorado has to offer and spends his time outside work snowboarding, rock climbing, and woodworking.
Krunal Pokiya
Engineering Intern
Joining Stolfus in 2022, Krunal came to the United States from his hometown in Ahmedabad, Gujrat, India to receive his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University. He is a motivated Engineering Intern who is developing expertise in ORD, ArcGIS, QGIS, and HCS. He uses his knowledge to assist with traffic safety and traffic studies, as well as roadway design projects. Krunal has an adventurous spirit using his time outside the office to travel and try new vegetarian food at different restaurants. He also enjoys reading and playing cricket.
Max Rusch, PE, PTOE, RSP
Project Manager
Starting at Stolfus direct from university in 2014, Max returned as a project manager in 2024 after three years honing his skills elsewhere. Max contributes valuable technical expertise on a wide variety of traffic engineering issues and is a technical expert in traffic circulation and flow, signal operations, traffic studies, and safety assessments. Whether he is formulating an approach to a complex operational problem or diving into a corridor signal timing model, he focuses on common sense solutions. Outside of work, Max enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, and reading.
Celeste Shinn, PE
Project Manager
Celeste joined Stolfus in 2016 having begun working in transportation consulting in 2013. As a Project Manager, her responsibilities include leading roadway geometric layout, alignment studies, construction documents preparation, opinion of probable construction costs, and project coordination. Celeste is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, helping drive change initiatives on traffic incident management and other transportation programs. Outside of the office Celeste loves to spend time with her family and is enjoys reading, dancing, crocheting and hiking.
Brendan Sullivan, EI
Engineering Intern
Brendan is a Colorado native from Highlands Ranch who received his master’s in engineering and technology management at the Colorado School of Mines. Brendan started as a student intern for Stolfus and came on as a full-time employee in June of 2023. He is well versed in programs such as OpenRoads, Synchro, and HCS to work on traffic related studies and projects. Outside of work, Brendan is a big basketball fan and enjoys activities such as pickleball and playing video games.
Abby Temtim
Transportation Data Analyst
Joining Stolfus in 2024, Abby earned her degree in Information Science from CU Boulder in 2020. She is proficient in Python, Microsoft Azure SQL, DevOps, and the Microsoft Power Platform. Abby uses her expertise to help the team analyze data to address real-world challenges in transportation systems and programs. She is passionate about creating impactful community work. Abby is a globe trotter with a passion for traveling and has lived in places such as Germany and Ethiopia. She has been living in Denver for the past nine years and she loves to explore and try new food.
Betsy Timbers, PE, ENV SP
Transportation Project Engineer
Starting at Stolfus in 2017, Betsy has been a transportation engineering consultant since 2015. She has been involved in the design of highways, arterial roadways, intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, and ped/bike facilities at all phases of design and construction. A Bentley Accredited Road Modeler, Betsy leads our geometric modeling practice. Originally from Colorado, Betsy is committed to finding and designing solutions for all transportation issues. Outside of work, Betsy enjoys playing the piano, tennis, traveling, and cookie decorating.
Luke Valerius, EI
Senior Transportation Design Engineer
Luke joined Stolfus as a student intern in 2016, working part-time until his engineering degree was conferred in 2019 and he became a full-time employee. Luke has developed a knack for providing on-time, efficient, high-quality designs and documents. He utilizes AutoCAD and Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) to model roadways and is well-versed in state and municipal standards for transportation elements. Most notably, everyone who works with Luke enjoys his positive outlook and welcoming demeanor. A Colorado native, Luke loves to spend his time outside golfing, snowboarding, and hiking.
Jeff Vasquez, PE
Transportation Engineer
PEJeff joined Stolfus in 2021 following a year in a similar role in California. He is an expert with tools such as VISSIM, ORD, and Synchro for Traffic Signal, Traffic Operations/Analysis and Traffic Safety projects. A quick study, Jeff works at a high pace and is gaining experience rapidly. He is known around the office as a go-to resource and a great person to work with. Jeff enjoys many Colorado activities outside of work such as snowboarding, running, live music, concerts, and camping.
John Warne, EI
Engineering Intern
A 2024 graduate from the University of Wyoming with a degree in civil engineering. John is eager to use his knowledge to help solve transportation related issues. Through his studies and internship at WYDOT John is proficient in highway and pavement design. He is skilled in Bentley ORD software to prepare engineering designs and plans. When John is out of the office, he enjoys watching sports and playing video games with his friends.
